How to Adjust the Height of a Power Tailgate on a Toyota | Toyota Tip Tuesday

Learn how to adjust the height of your power tailgate with Orangeville Toyota! Choose from pre-selected settings on your dash or set a custom height using the rear door memory system.

For today's Toyota Tip Tuesday, I'm going to show you how to adjust the height of your power tailgate.  The first way is to go to your Toyota dash. Go to the settings page,  and scroll down to vehicle settings. Press and hold to enter,  then go to power back door,  and opening adjustments.  This gives you one of five pre-selected height settings to choose from.

The second way to adjust the height of the power tailgate is by using the rear door. Simply lower it to your desired height, then press and hold the button.  Once you hear it beep four times, that means that this is the new memory system. It'll now remember this height instead of the factory settings. And once you want it to go back to the previous factory settings, just press and hold it until you hear it beep six times.  Just remember, four to remember, six to forget.
